Does anyone drive on Rt.9 near the IBM building in Poughkeepsie? There is a tree there that is sometimes filled with Turkey Vultures right near the Spackenkill Rd exit on the southbound side. Last three mornings between 7:50 & 8:50 am, I have seen anywhere between 2 and 15 turkey vultures in this one tree!
Last year I saw this a ton of times as well at the same tree, with many instances of the vultures perched with their wings wide open. Its a pretty interesting sight. Too bad there isn't a safe place to pull over.
