A year of so ago, a house on Main St., New Paltz, across from the Trailways 
station, seemed to always have 3 or 4 vultures perched on its roof.  I haven't 
noticed this in recent months.
I had just moved to NP, and used to wonder how a real estate salesman would 
present the vultures as a desirable feature -- you iwll never have to worry 
about dead groundhogs in your back yard, perhaps?
