A year of so ago, a house on Main St., New Paltz, across from the Trailways station, seemed to always have 3 or 4 vultures perched on its roof. I haven't noticed this in recent months. I had just moved to NP, and used to wonder how a real estate salesman would present the vultures as a desirable feature -- you iwll never have to worry about dead groundhogs in your back yard, perhaps?
