How can a “balanced” approach be viable in light of the rhetoric that emerges constantly from the Oval Office? Trump says that Democrats (and any opposition) are “scum” and “evil.” Pam Bondi has no idea what the First Amendment really requires. In the presence (and real threat) of an autocrat, there can be no “balanced approach.”
We are in a Constitutional crisis and balance does not work. Kimmel was just exercising his right of free speech. You don’t have to agree with him but it is VERY wrong to take him off the air. Just say you don’t agree, which is your First Amendment right.
