Sorry, but I think this entire topic of "travel companies are beginning to view solo travelers as their own demographic" to be made-up nonsense. Most flights I've been on in my millions of miles over the years have been populated by plenty of people traveling alone - often an overwhelming majority on the flight. You're telling me that airlines are only noticing this now?? Either airlines are incredibly stupid or this "journalism" is incredibly stupid.
While we're at it, I recall airlines having fearful flyer programs long ago. Maybe now that it's everday mass transit, they feel it unnecessary, or else we're not hearing about it as much, for obvious reasons.
