The logs show the DB connection error is generated every night at exactly midnight. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
I will attach the log later. One that is causing the http 500 error (issue 1475). This could be connected to the normal client logon session time-out. Again this error displayed to the client requires a restart of the server to clear. The one that I am documenting here maybe a different issue. However I suppose they could be connected somehow. In this issue, I logon successful and then I get an DB connection error display in the Mifos Home Page. The looking at the server log, there are a number of stack traces indicating some sort of DB connection loss. I will try to quantify this some more. I will then either update 1475 or create a new issue, and reference 1475 as a possible connection. --------------- The functional spec indicated that the user session time-out shall be set to 15 minutes by default. Where is this configured? Via the AP, config file change, or does one have to update a table manually? There is a configuration setting that allows you to set your session time-out after which users should be logged out (http://mifos.org/knowledge/functional-specs/configuration-options#3_4_Misce llaneous). This obviously shouldn't result in DB connection errors or require you to restart your application (it should just require the user to log in again once their session has expired). So, it seems you've found a bug. Is this issue just more specific detail around what happens in issue # 1475 (https://mifos.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1475) or is it a separate issue from your perspective? If it's just more detail around the errors that occur from the timeout in issue 1475, you can add the DB connection errors into the bug for reference. If it is a new issue, please open it in the issue tracker with complete repro steps and the log files with the errors you are experiencing. Thanks!
