Asheikh, Currently, Mifos does not allow the backdating of products through the UI. Changing the system clock to the past is the only way. I would ask why its important to set the product start date in 2009? Are you planning on entering in past loan data? If so, you are going to run into the same issue.
If you don¹t have a large number of data to enter, changing the system date is probably your best bet (although a little risky). If you are looking to import a large amount of accounts, I would recommend that you consider just moving forward with the opening balances of these accounts (ie, the remainder that¹s currently left).
