We meant to say that we upgraded all the reports to birt v2.5.0
for mifos version 1.4, since we discovered that the oda jdbc driver for birt
in the mifos directory in catalina_home is
org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc_2.5.0.v20090605
all the other birt files in the webapps\mifos\web-in\platform\plugins have a
2.5.0 included in the file name. So i am thinking that this is the birt
viewer version. All the actual reports have been redone in the birt version
2.5.0.

The current java version is "1.6.0_17".
We are thinking that our problem is the service pack, since we repeated the
same procedure on another test machine with sp 3, and everything worked out
fine. The machine that has issues is on sp 2. We will install sp 3 on this
machine and see how it goes

What do you mean you upgrade BIRT? BIRT is upgraded automatically within
Mifos, so do you mean your report developer tool or do you mean you upgraded
all of the reports to 2.5.0? (Also, I think we're running 2.5.1).
If you haven't already, you will probably need to open up all your reports
in the 2.5.1 report developer tool and resolve any issues. I can almost
guarantee you will have to make some fixes when upgrading (mostly with
fixing parameters issues for queries, which might resolve your issue). When
you run the reports in the report developer, you should see the errors that
might otherwise not be displayed in the mifos web viewer.

1. Mysql from v5.0 to v5.1
2. Birt from v2.1.2 to v2.5.0
3. Mifos from v1.3 to v1.4
However, after making the above changes we are noticing these issues

1. Cannot search for accounts
2. Cannot create clients
3. Cannot create loans
4. Birt reports do not load the parameters on render.
There are no actual errors shown when we try any of these functions, instead
the system does not respond at all
We also tried creating the v1.4 database that we downloaded in the release
and the behavior was still the same.
Please tell us what we could be missing out on.
