I was reading a post that was by Alloys Meshack from Kenya about Mobile Money integration with Mifos, with capability of real time transactions (Deposit, Withdrawal, Loan Repayment and perhaps Balance and Account Statements). Its a very good initiative if we can get the API for integrating Mifos with the service provider's system. So i want to know how far Alloys Meshack has gone with his research because he mentioned doing some homework about the design and technical overviews. Please let him update the community and we see how we can take Mifos to another level.
I was also thinking about Email or Sms Alerts where a client can send a USSD an query some info say; Account Balance, Loan Status, Next Loan repayment and also the system be able to reply the client's request through sms feedback. The system can also remind clients automatically about loan status, Account activation, Transactions made and so on.... I think its a whole hell figuring how this is done but it is possible.
