I am asking how to route the /29 to some customers and be able to access the IP from outside the network (remotely). I would like to have the public ip in the clients' router or computer. My ISP gave me a full /29 (41.x.x.24/29). I did not want to do a 1:1 NAT if I will be able to just give the customers Public IPs in their routers.
What I have done so far in MikroTik ip/addresses add=41.x.x.25/29 interface = hotspot interface In customer pc: IP=41.x.x.26 subnetmask=255.255.255.248 Gateway=41.x.x.25 With this setup I can access the internet on the PC but I cant ping it from outside. Any additional routing procedure needed? Many thanks for help. It isn't clear exactly what you need. Are you asking how to route that /29 to some customers, or how to add them to your router? Are you going to do 1:1 NAT for the 4 customers who need the public IPs? /29 is not many IP addresses (just 5 "usable"). Did your ISP give you a full /29, or did they say use x.x.x.x/29 and gateway of x.x.x.x? -- ******************************************************************** * Butch Evans * Professional Network Consultation* * http://www.butchevans.com/ * Network Engineering * * http://store.wispgear.net/ * Wired or Wireless Networks * * http://blog.butchevans.com/ * ImageStream, Mikrotik and MORE! * * NOTE THE NEW PHONE NUMBER: 702-537-0979 * ******************************************************************** _______________________________________________ Mikrotik mailing list Mikrotik@mail.butchevans.com http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
