Put: named_flags="" in /etc/rc.conf.local and bind will work. Edit files in /var/named/ directory to suit your needs as well, but the above line in /etc/rc.conf.local will start named on boot, and it will just work. Read /etc/rc.conf to see how to start other daemons, but put changes into /etc/rc.conf.local
