I've got a set up between two towers where I use a KVM (KVMS?) switch between them. The one running OpenBSD (snaphots and recent as of this morning) seems step up it's CPU speed when I'm switched out to the other computer. I'm wondering if I'm the only one seeing this.
If I am on an empty desktop or the desktop only contains a xterm (whether it's running something it or not) the CPU steps up to max MHz but the fan speed remains relatively low. If I have a graphical application running however, the CPU not only runs at maximum, but the CPU fan tries its best to spin loose from the cooler. I'm running Spectrwm as my desktop. The KVM switch is a USB/VGA/Audio IOGear using keyboard sequences to switch between connected computers.
