Does not work for me either -- I am on the latest snapshot and
Firefox fails with the same error as reported on the thread.
Same error for Tor Browser.

However  on my backup machine -- which has Matthieu's  Wayland / Sway ports
installed -- both Firefox and Tor work fine on X.
(machine is also on MP#1523)
