I saw in the vtwm mailing list a similar issue occurs in Firefox if "AutoRaise" is set. This issue also occurs in twm. I do not know about chrome, but to correct Firefox you can try this: 1. In Firefox go to "about:config" 2. set "widget.gtk.grab-pointer" equal to "1" 3. Restart Firefox Maybe chrome has a similar setting ? HTH John
