For fixing problems with tiny pointers in just xterm under fvwm3 I did this: in .Xresources XTerm*pointerShape: left_ptr XTerm*cursorThem: Adwaita Xcursor.size: 32 Xcursor.size can be 64 and also a couple of smaller sizes.
