This is the same ACPI timeout bug in the Apple firmware that was discussed earlier. You can either build a custom installer for yourself with acpi.c patched, or wait out the 10.000 second (I think) timeout, after which the system will indeed boot. After that you need to patch the kernel. I uploaded a patch for 7.8 and 7.7 to my little wiki: https://openbsdonapple.wiki/doku.php?id=misc:acpi_patch Please have a look for instructions on patching.
