Dear sirs and ladies!

I followed this guide:

$

cd /sys/arch/$(machine)/conf

$

cp GENERIC CUSTOM

$

vi CUSTOM    # make your changes

$

config CUSTOM

$

cd ../compile/CUSTOM

$

make

and the change I made to the custom kernel was
echo "option HZ=1000" >> CUSTOM

sysctl kern.clockrate still shows:
hz = 100
after rebooting

I am running openbsd 8 in vritualbox
