FWIW, I have the same problem on an old HP LC 2000. The keyboard
used to work fine on the same machine with 3.7 GENERIC.MP, until I
upgraded to 3.9 this morning. As above, everything else works, and the
keyboard also works with a non-MP 3.9 GENERIC kernel. dmesg below.
