Hello,
Hoping I can get help with an older Mac Powerbook G4
with a problem with X and the ATI driver. When exiting
X the screen goes dark and the system looks like it's
wedged. It's impossible to see what's going on. If I
started with startx from the console, I can sometimes
shut it down by blind typing the sudo shutdown command.
Tried 8 or 24 bit depth, full resolution or reduced to
1024x768. No different using startx or xdm (both hang).
The wsfb driver works fine.
It's very frustrating because I can't see what's going
on. Where can I get more crash information?
