embedded system h/w hacking, yippie.  look for any pin headers, maybe 4 or
5 together.  if there aren't any headers look for a 4 or 5 solder pads in
roll.  if you find either one of these then you need to first find which
pin/pad is GND, then with this knowledge in hand you can start checking
voltages on the other pins/pads.  You may also find a dual roll of
pins/pads of anywhere from 10 - 16 pins, most likely this is the JTAG
port.

WARNING, mucking about your h/w can 'cause premature failure.  I've
accidently shorted PWR to GND before, fortunately the DC power fuse
failed.  Unfortunately the fuse was a very SMALL fuse that was oh so fun
to replace.
