I have a new T400 Thinkpad the following: (note that I've tried many other avenues to find an answer to my problems, including an experienced oBSD friend, who suggested I write this).

I copied the .iso's using isorecorder2 on a machine running XP. I do have an "official" set of 4.3 disks coming soon. My Thinkpad came earlier and I couldn't wait . . . perhaps I should. 1) My ethernet is not being recognized at install and it is not noted when I "ifconfig." It does recognise that I have a wireless card (ath0), but I can't configure it. 2) my dmesg command outputs a screen full of: M^\? 3) X fails to load (the screen flickers and then outs an error message talking about enough memory for my video card, among other things). I installed all sets and answered yes to the question about planning to run X. 4) The dmesg.boot file is empty. I think that's it. What do you think? Thanks! -- www.nealhogan.net
