That may all well be true, but currently, bypassing your ISP's DNS cache looks like the best short-term workaround to getting manipulated answers while lawmakers around the globe move towards erecting more and more "great firewalls" as we speak. Yes, I'm fully aware of the fact that technology can't provide a solution to a social problem, but otoh, the already-deployed multicast roots should already scale quite a bit more than 13 simple hosts could.
