Othere general advice for OP, if he wants to follow current: sub the source-changes ml or atleast follow /faq/current.html and if you still want to try to go from 4.7 instead of a snapshot the relevant parts are now in /faq/upgrade-old.html . But as said before, snapshot first is less painfull.
