Thank you very much Omar, 7.3.0p1 works great on FreeBSD even with LibreSSL.

Sorry for the delay. Apologize, my testing was superficial at best. I can reproduce the issue when linking against LibreSSL. It affects probably all the OSes except OpenBSD. OpenSMTPD crashes when using a RSA private key and always fails at runtime when using an EC one. Quite ashamingly, I have to admit that I've only tested on non-OpenBSD using OpenSSL because since the libtls transition and the privsep cripto process I wanted to make sure there were no issues, assuming that LibreSSL was fine since we use that on OpenBSD. I'll updated the mailing list later as soon as I make progresses with this. In the meantime, building -portable with OpenSSL it's the safest choice until this gets sorted out. Thanks, Omar Polo
