Charity,
The following link takes you to the part of the city's website that deals with
this subject . . .

http://springfieldmo.gov/egov/publicworks/storm_water/education.html

The phone number to call to adopt-a-stream is 864-1996.
I hope you find this helpful, and I hope you and yours had a good time over the
holidays!

  Doug,

I want to know all the information you have about that program. Who to talk
to etc.

  Larry,

I want to see those pictures.

    Larry,
The city has a program where organizations can "Adopt-a-Stream." Bags are
provided, and the city will erect a sign at no charge to you. Imagine a clean
Jordan Creek with a sign that advertises "Missouri Liberty Coalition",
"Campaign for Liberty", or whatever. The Greene County Libertarians do this,
and for 3 or 4 clean-ups a year your organization will get credit in the eyes
of the public for doing something good for the community, and your stream gets
cleaned up!

I can put pictures in an email with Kodak easy share and it seems to work
pertty good.
I'll go get some and send'em to Ya.
I should send them to that new crime lab first.

Since I do not live on the creek, I did not know that there was a
problem like that there. So, I think if a community is more aware of where
there are issues like that, there are people that will start cleaning up.

I am sure there are plenty of people that like clean water, air and
land.

Maybe you can take some pictures of it, write a blog and those of us
with blogs can focus on your issue so that we can get some help to clean up
your view.

I would like to see how bad it is, and what you are seeing from your
eyes.

You could even create a slide show on photobucket.com
