As some of you may know, I thoroughly enjoy mall walking in the morning before
the stores open (less expensive that way).  I also have some strong feelings
about gun-free zones and believe it does make those in the zone simply a
shooting gallery target.  Here in Springfield we have one indoor mall,
Battlefield Mall, and today I have decided I will no longer walk the mall nor
shop in any of the stores in the mall.  Therefore, I have contacted the Mall
offices to let them know of my decision and have also contacted the anchor
stores to make them aware of my decision.  While one person may not have an
impact, if more people were to do the same, I think we could bring some common
sense to bear on these enterprises who refuse to acknowledge concealed carry.

For those of you in Springfield, here are the following phone numbers for the
stores:

Battlefield Mall - 417-883-4111
Macy's - 417-882-1500
J.C. Penneys - 417-883-4220
Sears - 417-888-4800
Dillards - 417-883-4550

By the way, I was told that Dillards does have armed security (off duty cops)
that are armed; however, the Mall security personnel are NOT armed.

Please let me know if you should decide to participate in this self defense
rights campaign.

Thank you and God bless.
