I've got a tab,map,dat and id file which read happily into MapInfo
ProViewer 8.5, but the format of the ID file seems to be different than
is expected by mitab. As I understand it, mitab expects it to be a
sequence of integers which represent offsets into the MAP file. However
the ID file does not correspond to this and has a string at the start
of it ( the file name ), followed by some binary. Could the ID format
have changed in a the most recent version of MapInfo - or am I missing
something?
