Dear Tangi,

I just tried my StateMachineEditor, and it still works. My configuration is:

Eclipse SDK: 3.3.1
J3D: 1.5.1
Jdom: 1.0
GEF runtime: ? (Probably 3.3.1 as installed with Eclipse)
Java Runtime Environment: jre6

But as it is quite a while ago as I set it up for the first time, I don’t
really remember the single steps. But after looking at the documentation, I
think that was what I did.
As we use almost the same versions of Java and Eclipse, I don’t think it is a
version problem.

Sorry, no further ideas.

Regards,
Tobi

Dear Tobias,

The good news is that I'm on Windows XP ;) so if you had it working recently,
it means I should be able to fix it.
Any recommendations are still welcome.

Thanks,

Tangi

Dear Tangi,

I used the StateMachineEditor recently with Windows XP Eclipse successfully,
but never tried it on a Unix-based system. I forwarded your mail to the creator
of the editor, Daniel Stein.

Best,
Tobias

Betreff: [mitk-users] State Machine Editor.

Dear All,

I'm trying to use the State Machine Editor Eclipse Plugin.

I installed:
- j3D 1.5.2
- jdom 1.1.1
- GEF runtime 3.5.2
- eclipse SDK 3.3.2

I copied the StateMachines1.0.0 repository (unzipped) in the Eclipse plugin
repository.

I followed the How to instal and use the state machines editor procedure (see
snapshots attached).
I manage to load the plugin and the linking with jdom.jar and vecmath.jar is
correct.
I then activate the Run button and get a second Eclipse workdbench launched
(figure 6 of the documentation doxygen page). But what is surprising is that it
does not keep any information regarding the StateMachines plugin. So when I
create the new Java project, it is not linked with the StateMachines.jar
library ... I tried to manually force the link before creating the new java
project and also after but nothing works and I can not get the "New
Statemachine" and "Statemachine from XML" buttons ...

Did somebody recently manage to use the state machine editor?

Thank you for your help.

Tangi
