you could alternatively try to clone from our GitHub mirror:
git clone git://github.com/MITK/MITK.git
or
git clone https://github.com/MITK/MITK.git
or download a current source tar-ball from GitHub.

Have you tried cloning multiple times? Can you open the link
manually in your web browser? (Should be a list of a lot of hashes
and tags ) If it still does not work, from which country are you
trying to access the server?
