Yes, it fully makes sense. Well, EnableQt4Modules does just that pkg-config 
stuff for you, when available (linux, macports), and tries a fallback when 
not (windows). It also adds other things that mkspec adds for you when you 
use qmake.

Remember to send the crosscompiling option to EnableQt4Modules if you are 
doing so.
