Wow, this is great, Gabriel! Thank you! Could I ask you to make the patch against current trunk though? (Or create a branch on LaunchPad.) v1.8 and 1.9 are both feature-frozen so this would have to go into v1.10. I don't think EFIIR changed much since 1.8 so it should be relatively painless.
