Hi everybody ! For those of you who are concerned by speed, I have reimplemented part of yuvscaler so that it scales now much faster than before for the most currently used size conversion. Here are my figures taking into account the dowscaling only: (given figures are average value between an Athlon500MHz and a mobil PIII 1GHz, no MMX accelerated routines)
Standard quality for (full-size 720x576) PAL frames to SVCD conversion yuvscaler -O SVCD : 40 fps Standard quality for PAL 16:9 frames to PAL 4:3 conversion: yuvscaler -O WIDE2STD : 45 fps High quality for PAL frames to SVCD conversion: yuvscaler -O SVCD -M BICUBIC : 20 fps High quality for PAL 16:9 frames to PAL 4:3 conversion: yuvscaler -O WIDE2STD -M BICUBIC : 25 fps One question: is it worth now that I optimize the conversion from PAL 16:9 frames to SVCD 4:3 frames? It all depends on the positive number of answers to this question ...
