One more thing to think about. At least I know no resampling code. 

I have commited my changes to lav2wav into the cvs. It works now quite
good. 
Ther was a bug with NTSC, just as I feared. I have fixed that nearly.
Every NTSC Video Frame I generate 0,47 audiosamples to less for that
Audio Settings: 44100,16,2 . That means that I generate 1,149 seconds to
less of silence. It works correct for PAL. I will have to take a closer
look to find out how to fix that. Or can we live with that? 
That problemm is mentionend in the manpage. 

The other problem is that you currently have to specifiy which audio
format you want to have.
