I would say that it was not a horrible transition for us. But our little group went lock, stock, and barrel when we moved. Largely because Lightwave was too costly to put on each desktop at the companies inception. The differences between the two were(are) substantial. Now, we would be hard pressed to do an animation in lightwave after the transition.
