OK. That's a good news, because I don't like to open my computer case. ;-) > >> When you run the command "fuser /dev/video" which programms do access > >> the video device ? (I only have a 32Bit SMP Machine) I use Debian SID, and I often upgrade my kernel and software to the latest version. I compiled the kernel myself and it is: Linux reno 2.6.18 #1 SMP Fri Sep 22 14:13:06 CEST 2006 i686 GNU/Linux As regards to X, I was using XFree86 the last time I used my Zoran card. Now I use Xorg. I upgraded my GFX card and it's nvidia module. I used an Nvidia 5900XT, and now I use an Nvidia 7600GS. I upgraded because I needed OpenGL 2.0 to benefit from hardware accelerated graphics in Cinelerra. I also upgraded the CPU. I used an XP2400, and now I use an AMD64 X2 (dual-core) 4600+ And I also installed some more RAM (I now have 3Gb of mem) Well, I think that'll... Of course, a lot of software was upgraded, since I use Debian SID which I often upgrade! > Maybe I update the next time from Kernel 2.6.17.2 to 2.6.18.
