Have you messed with the timing? Timing could be retarded too much.

Subject: New year, new car, new problems

Ok, now that we are actually into Y2K(with no major problems), I would like
to start dealing with some of the problems with my new toy. Here's what I
know so far:

The wiring to the ISV is screwed up somehow, I think it's the ground wire
that's messed up.

Symptoms:
The car has no power below 2500rpm
Misses at idle(sometimes slightly, sometimes really bad)
Idle sounds like it is fluctuating ever so slightly, but that never shows on

the tach.
Hesitates slightly under either heavy or light load.

I'm sure that at the very least some of this has to do with that messed up
wire. However, after reading the Bentley, I'm thinking that it might also
be
a bad idle switch on the throttle body. Does anyone have any other ideas?
The weather is actually quite nice here in Virginia, so I think I will take
advantage and fix some stuff. Anyone have any ideas? If I must, I can
always drop it at the dealership and have them run the 1551 through it.
