Well you may remember that I put my car in a ditch
a few months ago, which totaled my car but it was still drivable and
looked
fine. So everything seem ok until last Tuesday when some ass
rearended me. Being 18 and the other guy 34 they believed
everything he told them, that he was trying to get my plate number as I had
been
driving reckless and ran a few stop signs. Now I like to drive fast
on the backroads near my school in Geneva New York (Hobart) but there is no way
that I would run a stop sign they are there for a reason, and never would I
pass
anyone if it were not legal also, is not smart and they do double lines for a
reason. Anyway the guy hit me and told the police all this stuff,
and I found this out later when I went to get a copy of the police
report.

What I am getting at is that its a '88 GLI 16v
that
is basically fully stock (only mod is the quad lights), with passenger and rear
damage (from rearend and rollover). The motor has 197,000 miles and
is still very good (no problems) and the recaro interior is also in very good
condition (previous owner put hole in driver side seat upper pad and both out
side lower pads need new padding. and one or two very small burn
marks. So is anyone wants I am going to take out the stereo and if
someone wants it they can come pick it up for very cheap (problem cost of
interior because its good condition).

I believe I paid $100 for it - just the meter - then found a three wire
BOSCH O2 sensor for under 440 at a local parts discounter. I did have
TT put the second O2 fitting in my downpipe when I ordered the pipe so
installation was a snap!

The meter is mostly usefull at WOT to see if your motor is getting
enough fuel. With my setup the G chip was to dump in enough fuel at WOT
to yeild a rich enough mixture that would show on the halmeter by
lighting up to the 5th or 6th LED on the Rich level.

Well - I don't think I'd blow that much on it but when I decide to order
a STACK tach/lap timer in Spring or this Winter it'll be because I can't
afford a Pi system like this
http://www.piresearch.com/product/displays/c-dash/index.htm

Another reason is because I was going to upgrade to a newer big ass 5"
tach with some neeeeto features and also get a hotlap system. The costs
of those two combined are $600 - so another $100 gets you into a stack
setup before adding options.

I like gadgets

I gave my GLI the best I could find and plan to do the same with my new
baby.
