Err, I would hardly call the Impalla a 4dr sports car,
American or not. The Caprice made a great taxi cab and police
cruiser, but the addition of a Corvette motor, big rubber and firmer
suspension does not a 'sports car' make. It's a unique vehicle which
harkens back to the glory days of the American muscle car, if you
like that sort of thing. On the other hand it was a low-tech,
old-school, gas-guzzling, tire-burning, over-weight, road-hogging
monster of a car. But I guess that's the idea. . . Muscle car?
Definately. Performance car? Maybe. Sports car? Not in my book.
