It's also sealed by an O-Ring - gently pry off the housing (yes, it's only
held with 2 bolts).  Try using a screwdriver to separate the plastic from
the housing.  Once off, remove the old thermostat with a screwdriver as well
(used as a prybar).  Be sure to have a BFP (big pan) under the car since the
remaining coolant will dump from the housing, down your arm to your armpit
and into the pan.
