I had the side of my '98 VFR taken off and my foot smashed with a stress
fracture (wasn't even lane splitting) by some (insert expletive here) that
decided he should be in the lane I was in.  I kept the bike upright, but it
made me mad.  I would have pounded the guy but he was literally full on
balling on the side of the road saying how bad it scared him.  $2000 worth
of damage and a sore foot for a few weeks and all is well.

I feel your pain.

Last summer I was in Boston and got hit by a minivan.....
The guy was backing out of a street and didn't even look. It was a very low
speed accident but my forks got bent, the clutch
cable got snaped and I dumped my honda shadow on its side which skraped the
whole thing up. 100% his fault Not to bad though
-I was fine and I got a nice check to put towards the bike I really want,
BWM F650 which I will be picking up shortly  ;)
