There's a tool to align the shifter? Heh! I've rebuilt a few on my various VW's and have never had to use the tool. Simply put the shifter in a straight up position, and tighten the linkage from underneath. It's worked the first time every time. You can verify the alignment by manipulating the linkage from underneath the car.
A tool to do the job. Whoda' thunk it! ;-) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ryan Lewandowski" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2000 11:23 AM Subject: Shifter alignment tool > I'm planning on rebuilding my shifter this weekend.
