yikes...i was just trying to offer some suggestions, dude. i dont know
what the guy's budget is, but i figured its better to have more swap
ideas than not. but having those expenses be comparable to an M3?
pffft. hardly. if you see it that way your ride should have two wheels
and pedals. save for the headwork, you can do EVERYTHING i suggested
for well under $1000, and omitting a few things here or there would
probably put you close to $500.

as this is heading in the direction of another useless thread, ill try
to get back on track and give a few more suggestions. remember kids,
these are just SUGGESTIONS. i have done a few engine swaps, and found
some of these things out the hard way. others i just decided to do
because i wasnt working on the actual swap, but i felt like doing
something with my car...later to realize i was glad i did what ever i
did when i did.

without further fanfare:

use the time to clean all of the engine's electronic connections.
you're more likely to find the time to do it when the engine bay is
empty. you can also inspect and then clean up any wires with flex loom
and hell, install relays if you dont have em. and if you go to a car
stereo shop, for $20-30 you can score all the materials to build an
overkill wiring setup like the kind ND rips you off for 100+. at the
very least, hose out the radiator and the condensor, and flush the
radiator if youre feeling sassy. give your car all the standard tune up
parts, unless its had them in the VERY near future. its always a good
feeling to have your car start "fresh" once you compelte a big project
like this. oh...play the shifter bushing game. replace em all and be
happy you did. its one of those things that even if you did it last
year, you might as well do it again. remeber to grease em up a little
bit, and epoxy that golf ball! ummm....i dunno. i did a lot of little
cleaning things here and there, and i was really happy with the results.
i would take in my fuel distributor or something like that as i was
watching teevee, and do it up all nice. if you have the time, its well
worth it.
