SOMETHING isn't right. Even a stock Sachs 16V clutch should last at least
50K, even with a LOT of abuse, and well over 100K is not unheard of.

I agree, this should not be happening, however I should mention that my car (no it hasn't been dyno'd) is making 170-180HP, and the clutch failures increased dramatically after I installed the aluminum front motor mount, It does transmit a lot more power to the ground and unfortunately more shock back thru the drivetrain. We think that is what is causing the clutch failures. But I don't want to go back to eating front motor mounts every week. Major Dilemma! The car is sadly enjoyed (i.e. abused) a lot less now and I don't normally dump the clutch (unless at an autox).

Before you go installing an expensive trick clutch, you need to find out
what's killing the stock ones. Once you've done that and corrected whatever
the problem is, then I suggest a ClutchMaster's Stage 3 clutch packag

Who sells these?

Thanks,
