Dunno about that Holland... a Sachs replacement clutch is the 1.8l version 
only.  I guess they don't hold up to the extra torque as
well.  I just bought a new 2.0l version from Mike Potter  
http:\\www.parts4vws.com and he told me that the 2.0l version is
definately stronger... my 1.8l lining fell off after only a few thousand miles 
(7500).  The 2.0l version dosen't feel any different
though.

SOMETHING isn't right.  Even a stock Sachs 16V clutch should last at least
50K, even with a LOT of abuse, and well over 100K is not unheard of.

Before you go installing an expensive trick clutch, you need to find out
what's killing the stock ones.  Once you've done that and corrected whatever
the problem is, then I suggest a ClutchMaster's Stage 3 clutch package.
