I was watching Auto, Motor&Sport News from the DW network on my local PBS
last night. One of the features was the engine rebuilding facility in
Kessel(SP).

In Europe you can get entire engines (minus a few parts) from the dealer.
A new engine runs about $2000 USD (4000 DEM). They showed this huge area
with hundreds of engines ready to go.

I'd love to get my hands on a Euro Spec 150hp 16v from an A3 GTi.

Really cool show. Check your local listing to see if it's on near you.

I also watched Motor Week TV. They featured the BMW X5. I'm a big
anti-SUV person, but the X5 does 0-60 in 6.6 and stops from 60 in 117'!

Not too shabby, but for my money, I'd rather have the E46 M3 when it comes
out.
