Don't know of any lawyers in NJ BUT I'd urge you to contact one ASAP. Considering the charges, you will face a loss of license and potentially some jail time. With any luck, a lawyer will keep the penalty to a loss of license and a hefty fine. Hopefully you'll only lose your license for a year or two BUT again, I'm unsure of NJ's legal system.
In any case, your lawyer should be able to provide you with guidance on your appearance and demeanor in the courtroom. I'd recommend that you lose any ear rings or facial body piercings and look as conservative as possible. Be prepared to be extremely humble and appologetic - judges don't give a shit if you're Daddy's rich or your GF just dumped you or (worst of all) that you were dead tired and rushing to get home. Their main concern, and the concern of the officer, is that you broke the law and (due to the reckless driving charge) caused willful public endangerment. --- [email protected] wrote: > ok guys...i know this is about what kind of tires i should use for > what kind > of rims...but i need real help here... i know a couple of you have > had to go > to court for speeding or what ever other charge. and i also know > that youve > had the fines and points reduced...how?why? any tips? tricks? show > up in a > suit? bring a lawyer? plead guilty or non guilty? to let you on to > my > situation...i recieved two summons...both at the same time by the > same > officer.. one is for speeding(113 in 65) and the other for reckless > driving...this was in and on the NJ turnpike. ok guys TIA and let > the responses come in. ===== Matthew Yip [email protected] http://www.geocities.com/mgyip/ '87 GTi 16v - x2 '88 M5 '99 F350 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
