You don't even need to heat it enough to deform the metal in order to wreck the heat treatment. Hell, annealing takes place at room temperature if you give it long enough.
FWIW, there are diamond/ceramic carbide cutting wheels designed to cut without putting a lot of heat into the thing you're cutting.
