The setup you describe gives about a 8:1 compression ratio. Which while it
is good for a turbo is a little low unless you plan on running high boost.

To accomplish this swap you have to change the lower crank pulley,
intermediate shaft and oil pump to 16v units as well. The you need a
manifold from AMS or somewhere and of course a turbo.....Garret T-3 from a
5-speed Thunderbird is a good choice.

Stock cams are best, or use the euro intake, I also hear that TT may be
importing cam sets from the euro tallblock 16v motors and those would be
usable as well.

You also need a fuel rail to run EFI on a 16v and change the injector seats
for G60 units.

The SDS EM-3 is probably the least expensive easiest to use programmable
system out there for the setup you describe.

Oh and you have to clearance the piston tops to clear the 16v valves. I
have heard that some "tallblocks" actually clear but have yet to see one
that didnt' require clearancing.

I am currently building a motor similar to this one and would be happy to
share more info if you need it.
