Considering the experiences I've had AND the majority of the posts
I've read on Vortex, it's a generalization that I'll make without
qualms. Are there exceptions? Certainly. The Motorsports forum has
a fair number of actual racers who relate real world experiences.
Aside from that, the other forums are mainly populated with folks who
are "grasping at straws" whether it be b/c they're young punks who
happen to own a VW AND have Daddy's credit card number or they're so
enthralled with VW that absolutely no other cars exist. There's the
infamous 80/20 rule - in the case of Vortex, the 80th percentile
remains quiet (probably b/c they're laughing their asses off) and
allows the 20 percent to look like idiots.
