The martyr concept doesn't hold true for all Muslims - I have a few
Muslim friends in the DC area that are "as normal as Christian
folks". There is a Shiite Muslim sect, much like the Branch
Davidians, that condones violence as a means of further propogating
the word of God (or in their case, Allah). The more level-headed
Muslims don't resort to acts of terrorism to spread their faith.

I can't believe that these terrorist acts all stem from the US
support of Israeli positions regarding their land holdings. However,
many Middle Eastern nations have sided themselves with the US which
is why the US is seen as "the head of the serpent". I'll never
understand religious politics, especially as they dominate the Middle
East.
