The bog is caused by the cams.  If you look at stock
US spec cams the bog is not there or hardly there.  If
you look at even the european intake cam the bog
begins to become apaparant.  If you look with big cams
268s, 276 the bog is quite large.  I don't think its a
fuel issue, I thinks is more of a port velocity issue.
  On a side note.  On some of velocity's dyno's where
they used the tt race header, they gained torque (11
ft/lb IIRC) where this bog occurs.  I am no engine
builder, I've just observed as many dyno's as I can
get my hands on.
